When the school was established in 1947 the boarders and day children were together.

However, as the number of day scholars increased, it was decided to separate the day school from the boarding school. Initially the day school was only up to Std. 4, which was very inconvenient for parents. Therefore, in 1990 permission was obtained from the Education Department for Std. 5 and subsequently the first S.S.C. batch passed out in March 1996.

The school is administered by a Board of Governors who form a part of “The National Education Society”

The National Education Society administers the day school.

The day school is situated in the heart of Kalyani Nagar, just minutes away from the Boarding School. It is a two storied building with large well-lit and ventilated classrooms and a large playground.

The day school consists of the following units:

  1. Pre - Primary School ( L.KG  & UKG )

  2. Primary School          (Std. 1 to 7  )

Joyce Bob, Headmistress, Day School, Secondary Section

“The Dr. (Mrs.) Erin N. Nagarvala Day School ensures high-quality education which motivates and empowers our students to become lifelong learners and productive members of society. At the Nagarvala School, education is not defined by the amount of information that a child is able to regurgitate. Our education system is one that caters to the individual needs of our students. We want all our students to achieve their full potential and our mission is to make this possible by providing a platform and an environment for them to grow, evolve, and excel. “

“What makes a child gifted and talented may not always be good grades in school, but a different way of looking at the world and learning.” – Charles E. Grassley

At the Dr. (Mrs.) Erin N. Nagarvala School, we are dedicated to providing our students with not just textbook knowledge but also physical, intellectual, emotional and social support in order to help them become more well-rounded individuals.

With the advent of rapid technological enhancement, we are committed to keeping pace and have incorporated modern ways of teaching by utilizing state-of-the-art facilities and technology to create exemplary learning experiences for the students.

Having a high score on a report card is great but human awareness and intelligence are things that can't just be quantified by numbers and grades. We aspire to have our students leave the school with a sense of curiosity and open mind that inspires them to look beyond rote learning.

Shaila Furniturewala, Headmistress, Day School, Junior section

“When children feel loved, respected and encouraged they develop to their fullest potential. Providing stimulating learning spaces during their early years enhances critical thinking and a love for learning.

Compassionate and well-adjusted children bloom into environmentally conscious global citizens.”
